Tasting & Panel with Fincas Mierisch & Cup of Excellence

Join us for a panel with Erwin Mierisch, “El Ingeniero” for Fincas Mierisch, and Darrin Daniel, the Executive Director of the Alliance for Coffee Excellence. We’ll explore the history and goals of the Cup of Excellence, the importance of celebrating high quality work through high quality coffees, as well as the challenges the COE and producers have faced this year during a global pandemic, all while tasting the coffees in this set together. There will also be time for questions and answers with listeners.

Tasting & Guided Sensory Experience

Tune in as we taste the coffees featured in The Mierisch Project sample set with industry friends Sum Ngai, co-founder of Coffee Project NY and Eduardo Choza, Director of Coffee at Mayorga Organics. We’ll walk through how nuances such as variety and processing method make each of these three coffees unique, and how we think about the sensory experience in general. We’ll also discuss solutions to share risk with producers in new ways throughout the pandemic. All attendees are welcome to join in the discussion!
