Cupping for Beginners
Interested in tasting a variety of coffees using the industry’s standard method for evaluation? This 1.5-hour class teaches students the crucial skills used by all coffee professionals throughout the supply chain. Cupping is a process used to evaluate different coffees side by side, used by green buyers to choose which coffees to purchase, by roasters to help guide their roast profiles, and by baristas to know how best to brew and serve coffees in the cafe.
Our Cupping for Beginners class will cover all of the techniques and protocol for cupping, and will also focus on essential tasting techniques and terminology that are commonly used in the industry.
All materials are included and students are welcome to take photos and write down notes throughout the class. After the class, students will be able to purchase coffee and equipment at a 10% discount. No experience necessary.
