Espresso Fundamentals

Preparing the perfect shot of espresso can be an intimidating prospect—with the brewing time condensed from minutes to seconds, every little detail has an outsized impact on the final cup.

In our espresso fundamentals class, you’ll learn the science of brewing, referred to as extraction theory, so you can make informed decisions leading to satisfying shots. In addition to foundational theory, this class will cover best practices for mechanics and technique, to help create replicable workflows that take the guesswork out of your morning espresso.

This is a great class for any curious coffee enthusiast looking to take on the challenge of home espresso, or build upon their existing knowledge.

Please note: This class is held over Zoom. Dial-in details will be provided 24 hours prior to the start time of class.
